It is a repeat: Mineski join TNC Predator and Fnatic at The International 9

The first qualifier for The International 2019 is finally over. Southeast Asia decided its third and last team to represent the region in the biggest event of the year at Shanghai.

Despite their failure to join their Southeast Asian brothers in Fnatic and TNC Predator in the list of direct invitees for The International 9, one of the region's historically dominant Dota 2 teams will still fight for the Aegis of Champions after qualifying.

Team Jinesbrus vs Mineski

In the grand finals, Mineski clashed with Team Jinesbrus, a team who put up one hell of a fight to claw their way back into the Grand Finals, after being to the lower brackets in the first round. It was a back-and-forth affair, with both sides trading blows from the start.

Team Jinesbrus looked extremely strong in the back half of game one, managing to close the game out and carry some of that momentum with them into game two. Mineski bounced back on the defensive side after a slow start, however, managing to push Jinesbrus with great support-play to take game two.

Heading into the third game, Jinesbrus outdrafted Mineski to get their hands on a Naga-Enigma Combo that helped them take the series lead once more. Mineski played some incredible Dota in Game 4 pulling off some great combos with their Grimstroke to push the series to a deciding Game 5.

Jinesbrus put in a good effort during the laning phase, but it wasn’t enough to slow down Mineski. They reached their power peaks high grounds around 31 minutes in and rolled through Jinesbrus. Mineski cleaned up after that and took the final SEA spot in TI9 with a 3-2 victory.

13 teams have already secured their presence in Shanghai, China at TI9. Two more will be decided today. NA, Europe and China will decide their winning teams later this week.
