With Valve moving the venue for TI to Canada it seemed as if visa woes for most players would be eased and it certainly seemed that way when it was confirmed that all players had in fact secured their visa. Unfortunately though, one of the talents has been unable to secure his visa and that man is none other than Admiral Bulldog.
What’s even more unfortunate is that Bulldog had a visa issue last year as well, missing out on the event after being denied entry into the USA after reaching the country. He made the mistake of coming to the country on a travel visa when in fact it was for work and he was sent back from the airport itself.
In a recent Twitlonger post, the TI3 winner announced that he would miss TI8 as well because he was unable to secure a visa on time. “I just want to be completely transparent with you guys, in my late teens, 8 years ago i did one stupid fucking mistake man. Nothing serious but enough to have a dot on my record and that has never caused any issues travelling anywhere, however, Canada is very strict about this stuff and while i still can get into Canada the procedures have been unbelievably slow. I started one and a half month ago and i probably need another month or two at least.”
His presence will sorely be missed at TI8 especially after the community thoroughly enjoyed his analysis on the desk at the China Dota2 Supermajor.
